Visit of commission studying chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear safety problems under the presidium of Georgian national academy of sciences to Lepl-Ferdinand Tavadze metallurgy and materials science institute

On 30 January 2019 commission studying chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear safety problems under the presidium of Georgian national academy of sciences visited Ferdinand Tavadze metallurgy and materials science institute where the next field session was held.

 

The introduction speech was delivered by the director of the institute, academician George Tavadze, who reviewed the history, priorities and ongoing research works of the institute with a brief presentation.

Scientific worker of E. Andronikashvili institute of physics of Ivane Javakhishvili State University Lia Tchelidze- “Assessments and tasks of fast-reaction system readiness for protecting Georgian population from radiation damage in conditions of large-scale nuclear disaster outside of Georgia”

 

The head of boron-containing and composite materials laboratory of Lepl-Ferdinand Tavadze metallurgy and materials science institute V.Garibashvili spoke about completed and ongoing works inside the institute in terms of radiation security.
