Defence Ministry of Georgia concluded Memorandums of Understanding with the academic circles today. Cooperation with Georgian National Academy of Sciences and Georgian Technical University will improve military-engineering field and rise defence capability of the country. From Defence Ministry, Minister Irakli Alasania signed the MoUs with the academic circles. According to the documents, the sides will cooperate in scientific-technical sphere, as well in the field of military education and personnel training. “This day is a very distinguished one for Georgian Defence Ministry. We’ve concluded two Memorandums of Understanding today. This formalization will promote cooperation with the scientific-military elite of our country. I’m sure, these projects will encourage Georgian Army and its development” – outlined Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Alasania.

Within the frame of the MoU, Georgian National Academy of Sciences will use its scientific-technological potential supporting the interests of Georgian Defence Ministry.

According to the MoU, Georgian Technical University will set up engineering infrastructure for the defence of the country, as well elaborate scientific principles and prepare the action plan for their practical realization. Arranging theoretical basis and enquiry materials, as well creation of their computerized package are one of the points of the MoU with Technical University.
