Mtskheta One of the oldest cities in Georgia located 20 kilometers north of Tbilisi. Mtskheta is the birthplace and one of the most vibrant centers of Christianity in Georgia, part of the UNESCO World Heritage list and is declared as the "Holy City" by the Georgian Orthodox Church in 2014. |
| Batumi The "Pearl of the Black Sea" located on the coast of the Black Sea in Adjara, picturesque region of Georgia, where marine and mountain sights are organically combined to each other. Batumi is one of the oldest Georgian cities that stands out with a mixture of classical buildings against the backdrop of rising skyscrapers and palm trees on the Black Sea coast. |

Borjomi A town in central Georgia as well as the name of a natural reserve and of the famous volcanic, salty spring water. The source of this spring water lies in the Borjomi Kharagauli national park, the largest national park in Georgia. |
| Gudauri Gudauri is the best ski resort in Georgia with well-developed infrastructure located on the south-facing plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. The resort is the highest settlement on the Georgian Military Road at the altitude of 2000 m. |

Axaltsikhe Akhaltsikhe meaning “a new fortress” is a town in Southern Georgia, founded in Middle Ages. In 1579 it was a center of a region of Ottoman Empire. Now, the huge freshly renovated fortress of Rabati remains the main landmark of Akhaltsikhe. Its upper part includes the castle of Jakeli family, where the Museum of Samtskhe-Javakheti region is situated; there are also an Akhmediye Mosque, an orthodox church, an amphitheatre and a citadel. |

Aside from magical mountainous landscapes the famous Svanetian towers built in 9th-12th centuries make region absolutely unique. Georgian Cuisine Each historical province of Georgia has its own distinct culinary tradition, the broad interplay of culinary ideas carried along the trade routes by merchants and travelers alike. The importance of both food and drink to Georgian culture is best observed during a feast called “Supra”. |
Climate
Georgia is one of the most ecologically diverse countries in the world, with climatic zones ranging from subtropical and high alpine to semi-desert.
Tbilisi -formerly known as Tiflis is the capital and the largest city of Georgia. Founded in the 5th century on the banks of Kura River and located on the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Tbilisi has always been a meeting place of different cultures. City's favorable and strategic location was always a reason of rivalry between the region's various powers such as the Roman Empire, Parthia, Sassanid Persia, Arabs, Byzantine Empire, and the Seljuk Turks. Rich history of the capital ensured ethnic and religious diversity of its population that also reflected in architecture. This is especially evident in the city's Old Town, where a mosque, synagogue, and Eastern and Oriental Orthodox churches can be found less than 500 meters from each other. Ancient structures next to modern buildings, many museums and theaters, nightclubs that are always full, restaurants serving famously tasty Georgian cuisine, hospitality of the citizens and sunny weather are things that make Tbilisi so unique and a place that welcomes visitors from all over the world.
The Symposium will be held in the meeting room of Tbilisi Georgian National Academy of Sciences.
