On April 24, 2019, Director of Ferdinand Tavadze Metallurgy and Materials Science Institute, Academician Giorgi Tavadze, Scientific Projects and Technologies Commercialization Center Archil Gachechiladze, Chair of Scientific Board, Doctor of chemistry sciences Jumber Khantadze, Doctor of historical sciences Givi Inanishvili and the members of the newly formed in the Institute - Young Scientists Board - arrived in Sameba village (Tsalka region) to make a response visit to the secondary school.
On March 13, 2019, at Ferdinand Tavadze Metallurgy and Materials Science Institute, the meeting was held between Colonel Mamia Balakhadze, Acting Rector of Davit Aghmashenebeli National Defense Academy of Georgia and Academician Giorgi Tavadze, Director of Ferdinand Tavadze Metallurgy and Materials Science Institute.
On May 22-24, 2018 the 6th international Conference "Materials science of refractory compounds" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Grigory Valentin Samsonov, a correspondent member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine (Kiev, Ukraine).

April 13, 2017, Kiev. General meeting of Ukraine National Academy of Sciences Ceremony of awarding V.I Vernadsky's Gold Medal of Ukraine National Academy of Sciences for exceptional achievements in the scientific basis of powder metallurgy field to Institute's Director, Giorgi Tavadze, Academician of Georgian National Academy of Sciences.
